Arsenal are looking to sign Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen on loan for the season. Once a deal is completed, it's understood the movewill also include the option to make the transfer permanent for £45million.
The Gunners have until 7pm to complete their transfer business, but there is the potential for more time to be added if needed.
This is possible if Arsenal submit a deal sheet to the Premier League to get any last-minute business over the line.
Introduced in 2008, deal sheets allow Premier League clubs to have more time to get a transfer completed to avoid deals falling through over paperwork issues last minute.
Provided Arsenal submit a deal sheet to the Premier League by the 7pm deadline, which informs the league that a transfer has been agreed, the Gunners would then have two further hours to finalise a signing or an exit.
In this case, if Arsenal's move for Hincapie is going down to the wire, the Gunners could submit a deal sheet to ensure the deal gets completed. This could give Arsenal up to 9pm to finalise the details of the transfer if required, depending on when the deal sheet is submitted.
