The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced a golden opportunity for aspirants preparing for government jobs. Under the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025, SSC will recruit for 14,582 Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts across 48 Central Ministries and Departments. The official notification detailing department-wise and post-wise vacancies has been released, and admit cards will soon be available on SSC’s official website.
SSC CGL 2025 Vacancy DistributionOut of the total vacancies, 6,183 posts are unreserved (UR), while the remaining are reserved for various categories:

The application process for these positions concluded on July 4, 2025, while a correction window was opened from July 9 to July 11, 2025 for applicants to rectify any errors. With the vacancy details now officially announced, aspirants are eagerly waiting for the release of admit cards, which will be made available on the SSC's official portal in due course.
Major Vacancies in Key DepartmentsThe Finance Ministry’s CBDT (Central Board of Direct Taxes) leads with 6,753 vacancies for the post of Office Superintendent, making it the largest recruiter in this cycle. Additionally:

Paper 1: Mandatory for all candidates, covering topics like Quantitative Reasoning, English Language, General Knowledge, Computer Skills, and Data Entry tasks.

Paper 2: Applicable only to candidates applying for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) post.
In a related development, SSC has also released the admit cards and exam city details for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2025. The exam will be conducted on August 6, 7, and 8, 2025. Candidates appearing for the Hindi Translator Examination (Paper-1) can expect their exam on August 12, 2025.
While the exam city information is already available on SSC’s website, candidates will be able to download their official admit cards two to three days prior to their examination dates.
