Google has now launched its powerful AI assistant app Gemini for iPad users as well. It was introduced on iOS a few months ago, and now it is also available for iPad for free on Apple's App Store. Through this app, users can not only generate text, but now it also has features like Gemini Live, which makes two-way voice chat possible between the user and the AI.
The Gemini app is based on Google's multi-modal AI models, which enable users to generate images, answer questions, summarize PDFs, and give step-by-step solutions. AI image generation can now also be done in the app using ImageNet 3 technology. Through the Gemini Live feature, you can talk to AI by speaking, and it also has 10 different voice options, which come with different accents, pitches, and tones.
This app can also be linked to other Google services like Gmail, YouTube, Search, and Google Maps. It can then summarise the email thread, suggest replies, play songs, create playlists or start navigation. When connected to Google Search, it can provide more personalised and relevant answers.
While the Gemini app is available for free for iPad, users can also opt for the Gemini Advanced subscription, which is based on the Gemini 1.5 Pro model. This subscription is available under the Google One AI Premium plan for Rs 1,950 per month and includes additional features such as a larger content window, Gemini integration into Docs, Gmail, Sheets and more, and priority access.
