Primary Teacher Recruitment Begins in Rajasthan, Opportunity for 5,636 Posts; Apply by December 6

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Commission has opened the application process for the recruitment of 5,636 Primary Teachers. Candidates can apply online until December 6, 2025.

Good news for the youth of Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Staff Selection Commission (RSSB) has begun the recruitment process for Primary Teacher positions through the REET Mains exam. The application process for these positions began on November 7, 2025. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the Commission's official website, rssb.rajasthan.gov.in. The deadline for applications is December 6, 2025.

A total of 5,636 positions will be filled under this recruitment drive. These positions are for teachers teaching classes 1 to 5 in government schools across various districts of the state. The Commission has stated that this examination will be conducted between January 17 and January 21, 2026. The result and recruitment process will be completed by March 2026.

Application Fee

The application fee for this recruitment has been determined by category. General and OBC candidates will have to pay ₹600. SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) and differently-abled candidates from Rajasthan will have to pay ₹400. Candidates can pay the application fee online only. The deadline for fee submission is December 6, 2025.

Educational Qualification

Passed Higher Secondary (12th) from a recognized board with 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary examination with 50% marks and a B.El.Ed degree. Candidates must also have passed the REET Level 1 examination.

Age Limit

The minimum age for candidates is 18 years and the maximum age is 40 years. However, age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories as per state government rules.

Exam Pattern

The exam will be held in January 2026. The exam will carry a total of 300 marks, consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions. The exam duration will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Negative marking will apply for each wrong answer. Questions will be asked from subjects such as teaching methodology, child development, environmental studies, Hindi, English, mathematics, and general knowledge.
