The last group stage fixture of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 will see India (IND) take on Oman (OMN) in the Match No. 12 on Friday, September 19 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The contest is a dead rubber, as India have already qualified for the Super Four, whereas, Oman have been knocked out after back-to-back losses in the two games that they played.
Speaking of India, the Suryakumar Yadav-led side started the tournament on a terrific note, thwarting the United Arab Emirates followed by a brilliant win against the arch-rivals Pakistan. Both these wins came in Dubai, and the team will be travelling to Abu Dhabi for their first match here. As a result, the Suryakumar Yadav-led side will be looking to pull their socks up for yet another comfortable win on Friday.
For Oman, the tournament has been far from being an ideal one. Playing the 20-over edition of the tournament for the first time, Oman did not look good in the opening game against Pakistan and followed it up with a poor performance against the UAE as well. However, the Jatinder Singh-led unit will be hopeful of bidding adieu to the tournament with a win.

The Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi has been known to be a surface where runs are scored at a relatively better rate in the first half of the match. Spinners usually dominate, however, the lack of moisture in the surface offers very little scope for not sticking to accurate line and lengths. The team winning the toss would not think much before opting to bat first.
IND vs OMN Head to HeadIndia and Oman have never faced each other in a T20I encounter. As a result, both the sides will look to gain an upper hand in the maiden contest between them.
