As per the CNT report, Bath emerged as the top city, moving up from sixth place in 2024. The historic city combines Roman heritage with a revived restaurant and bar scene, alongside charming boutiques and galleries. The recognition comes as Bath celebrates the 250th birthday of Jane Austen, attracting visitors and literature enthusiasts alike.
Manchester takes second place, climbing from eighth last year, thanks to its expanding hospitality scene and new restaurant openings like Shaun Moffat’s Winsome. London, which held the top spot in 2024, ranks third, while Scottish cities Glasgow and Edinburgh remain popular with visitors, ranking fourth and fifth. Cambridge and Belfast occupy the sixth and seventh positions, known for their academic prestige, historic streets, and vibrant local culture. Brighton, Liverpool, and Aberdeen round out the top ten.
