Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) declared the result of Higher Secondary Certificate Second Exam on Friday. The overall pass percentage of regular boys and girls stood at 57.60 per cent. The pass percentage of boys is 55.51% and that of girls stood at 60.21%. In other words, girls outshined boys in the exam.
As many as 24,728 students passed in first division including 12,186 boys and 12,542 girls. At least 52,966 students including 29,193 boys and 23,773 boys passed in second division. Likewise, 457 students including 350 boys and 107 girls passed in third division.
Two students remained absent in the exam while exam of five students was cancelled. The number of failed students is 57,517 including 33,442 boys and 24,075 girls.

A total of 38,435 students have registered for the exam, of which 38,419 students appeared in the exam. 533 students including 291 boys and 242 girls passed in first division.
As many as 7,575 students including 3,983 boys and 3,592 girls passed in second division. At least 7,008 students passed in third division. A total of 23,252 students failed. A total of 135,673 students including 75,174 boys and 60,499 girls appeared in the exam of which exam of three boys and two girls was cancelled.
