The recent terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 27 innocent tourists has caused deep sorrow and anger across the country. The Chhattisgarh Sikh Society has strongly condemned the incident and expressed grief over the loss of lives.
Sukhbir Singh Singhotra, the State President of the Chhattisgarh Sikh Society, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to take decisive military action against Pakistan. In his message, he emphasized that Pakistan and the terrorist groups operating from its soil have gone too far. While India has issued repeated warnings and carried out a surgical strike in the past, these actions have not deterred continued terrorism. He argued that now is the time for direct retaliation and to put an end to the threats permanently.
According to Singhotra, Pakistan's terrorist activities have infiltrated even the Indian army, and the recent attack has shown the severity of the threat. He stated that people are still fighting for their lives, and the entire country is grieving and enraged. Citizens are now looking to Prime Minister Modi for a strong response, questioning how long India will continue to lose soldiers and civilians while terrorists continue to cross into Indian territory.
The statement from the Sikh community reflects a growing sentiment that India must act decisively. If no strong steps are taken now, Singhotra warned, it may be seen globally that India is failing to protect its citizens and cannot position itself as a global leader.
