A man has been left seriously injured after being hit by a Porsche during a dangerous game of chicken with cars.
The man, 27, and his friend, from Ireland, were reportedly returning to their accommodation around 2.30am after a night out when they began the reckless game.
The pair would leap onto the road as cars approached, narrowly avoiding them at the last moment. However, the Irishman lost his balance and was struck head-on by a Porsche.

The incident occurred in Gardone Riviera, close to Lake Garda. The German driver of the Porsche passed a roadside alcohol test and was within the speed limit at the time of the accident, which resulted in a smashed windscreen.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and the Irishman was airlifted to a hospital in Brescia. Although seriously injured, his life is not believed to be in danger.
Police are currently reconstructing the incident to determine exactly what happened, reports the Irish Mirror.
The investigation has also verified that the incident was not a social media challenge: no posts or videos of any kind were discovered online. We have reached out to the Department of Foreign Affairs for their input.
