Rylan Clark gives insight into single life after walking in on Josie Gibson naked

Rylan Clark has given a rare insight about what he misses now that he is single. The X Factor legend, 36, was hosting the Bank Holiday edition of This Morning alongside Josie Gibson when they were joined by Gyles Brandreth and Tim Campbell to discuss the topics of the day.

Rylan was initially married to Dan Neal but they split in 2021 after six years together, and the TV star has been on his own ever since. During a discussion about new statistics revealing that less than half of Brits now eat at the dinner table and choose to eat in front of the television, Ryan made the sad admission about how he rarely cooks for himself nowadays.

He said: "I've been on my own for many years now. I find I don't cook for myself. If I'm with someone or have people round, I'll cook. I love cooking but when I'm on my own, it's bish, bash, bosh, it comes to the door. I do sit at the table but the TV is on."

What's more, Rylan revealed that he and his co-star Josie had been put up in a hotel last night before heading to the London studios to record the show, and he decided to to pay her a visit in her room but got a shock when he arrived. The presenters were having a conversation about hangovers, and Rylan let slip that his co-star was a little worse for wear when he

He said: "I turned up at last night at the hotel, I'm gonna say this, I don't care. I text Josie to see what room she was in, I went up there, and she was naked. She then decided to just shove on a gown, she was bed with her This Morning brief. Something I've never seen in my life!

"And she was like 'Urgh...' I was like 'What's wrong with you?"

Giles joked: "These This Morning briefs you mentioned, is this underwear, is it new merch?" and Josie said as she reacted to the incident through bursts of laughter, she said: "Well, I had a cider hangover. I'd been to a cider festival! But it was organic! You didn't see anything though, did you?!"

Refusing to confirm or deny what exactly he had managed to see, Rylan simply said: "Well..." and they all moved on from the moment. Viewers were thrilled to see the pair at the helm of This Morning once again, as they join a rotation of stars all providing summer holiday cover for Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.

One viewer wrote on X: "Proper legend is Rylan, almost met him once in town, except he’s never been here, he did wave at me though, true story…Bosh!" whilst another simply said: "Great to see Josie and perfect paired with Rylan!"

The whole moment came just one day after Rylan hinted that he may not me single after all, and on Sunday, he let slip during a chat on his BBC Radio 2 show alongside his co-star Lottie. He said: "I might have said that I'm... it feels weird saying it on the radio!".

After his colleague pressed him further to confirm it was "real", Rylan admitted he had "kept it a secret for so long" and admitted that he was indeed "seeing someone."

It comes just weeks after the former Supermarket Sweep host admitted that his public profile has hindered his confidence when it comes to dating.

In a candid chat with 67-year-old psychotherapist Philippa Perry on his podcast 'Rylan: How to Be in Love', he shared: "I've genuinely been in a situation where I've been in a bar, and I've looked at someone across the way.

"They've looked at me, I've looked at them, and I would never feel confident going up to someone because of my job. I think, 'Are they looking at me because I'm Rylan, or are they looking at me because they think, he's alright?"

Rylan revealed: "For the past few years, I have been on my own, in the sense of living on my own, which is something I've never done in my entire life. But I have got to the point where I've got my 'SSB', my Secret Single Behaviour, where I might talk to the coffee machine in the morning and go, 'Of course you want me to empty the drip trays!'"

Rylan Clark has candidly opened up about his personal quirks and love life post-divorce, revealing what he seeks in a partner. The TV personality, who split from his husband Dan, has been back on the dating scene, even embarking on blind dates in Italy with his mate Rob Rinder, 47, for their BBC Two series 'Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour'.

In a frank admission, Rylan shared his unique outlook: "You know, it winds me up, but I will say it out loud. Some people might think I'm unwell. I'm not, it's my Secret Single Behaviour."
