Baaghi 4 Review: Less rebel, more animal! Tiger Shroff-Harnaaz Kaur were amazing, but this one mistake ruined the whole thing

Baaghi 4 Movie Review Directed by A Harsha, Baaghi 4 has been released in theatres. There was a buzz for a long time about this action thriller movie starring Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa and Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu. The journey that started with Baaghi in 2016 has reached Baaghi 4 through the franchise. Tiger Shroff is still carrying this franchise on his shoulders, which is a big deal for any actor, because actors change even in franchises.

The story of Baghi 4 struggles between past and present

The story of the film begins with Ronnie's ( Tiger Shroff ) accident. He regains consciousness after being in a coma for several months. All he remembers is Alisha (Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu). Ronnie's brother Jeetu (Shreyas Talpade) says that there is no such girl. She is just in his imagination. Slowly the layers are revealed. It is revealed that Alisha really existed, but now she is in the custody of Chako (Sanjay Dutt). The story keeps going back to the past and then to the present to find out why Chako has imprisoned her.

The color of South films was seen in Baghi 4

The screenplay and story of the film has been written by producer Sajid Nadiadwala. Kannada film director A Harsha has been given the responsibility of direction. This is the reason why the film is louder than necessary. When Tiger and Sanjay fight with each other, they run towards each other shouting which is the style of action in South Indian films.

The writer made this mistake in the story

Baaghi means rebel, but in the film, the characters of Tiger and Sanjay do not seem to be rebels, but lovelorn lovers. They fight for their love, but the writer has forgotten to write in the scene when that love became so deep. Ronnie has some love scenes, but it is not understood when Chako fell so much in love with Avantika (Harnaaz Sandhu who is in a double role) that he became ready to kill and die.

Glimpse of Animal and Pathan in Baghi 4

Some of the action scenes in the film in which Tiger alone kills a hundred people with an axe or the fight scene between Sanjay and Tiger in the end, in which Tiger tears his shirt to show his body, seem like cheap copies of the film Animal. Animal has already set a benchmark for action on songs, after which such scenes just end up being its imitation. Filmmakers often say that action is useless without emotion, this is felt in the film.

There is no logic behind the presence of the police. The special thing about the film is its production value, which is huge. The huge expenditure on the scenes and songs is visible on the screen. The dialogues written by Rajat Arora are powerful. The song Gujraa... from the film remains in the memory even after leaving the theatre. The same song Yeh Mera Husn seems to be a copy of Pathan's Humein To Loot Liya...

Tiger Shroff and Harnaaz did wonders

Tiger Shroff looks powerful as always in action scenes. He also does emotional scenes by making his voice heavy. Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu has got a chance to show many shades of acting in her first film itself. She also impresses in action scenes, although at some places her overacting is also caught.

Breathless Sonam and Sanjay's character

Sonam Bajwa's role is half-baked. Sanjay Dutt had said that after the film Vaastav he found this role powerful, however he did not get a chance to do anything like that in the film. An experienced actor like Shreyas Talpade should choose better roles for himself. Saurabh Sachdeva is confined to a side role like in the film Animal. Upendra Limaye is memorable even in a small role.
