During Saturday's (10 May) third live semi-final of Britain's Got Talent, one act had the nation talking, with a judge even labelling the act "horrific".
Bao Cuong, a danger stunt performer, took to the stage with a nail-biting act that involved enlisting the help of presenters Ant and Dec, who were asked to sit on a motorbike.
In an astonishing display, Bao used his eyes to pull the motorbike towards him using a metal chain. The terrifying feat had judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli, and Amanda Holden recoiling in their seats, with each judge having moments where they couldn't bear to watch, reports .
After witnessing the stunt, Amanda confessed: "I don't know what to say. Horrific to watch. At the same time, you can't take your eyes off you."
Bruno was equally astounded, remarking: "I am exhausted. You may not like this kind of act, but you are a master of what you do. You are the best at what you do."
Alesha expressed her discomfort, saying: "It's such a difficult act to watch. My eyes were hurting watching your eyes. I am exhausted."
Simon, however, was thoroughly impressed, commenting: "You look so normal and sweet then you do these terrible things to yourself. It's very difficult to watch you do these terrible things to you but at the same time I loved it."
Viewers tuning in from home were also stunned by Bao's eye-watering performance, with many expressing their admiration for the audacious stunt.
"Bao Cuong knows how to turn heads with a truly unique act, using gobsmacking skills. A slick and highly thrilling performance #BGT," one fan exclaimed, while another chimed in: "Bao Cuong It's bonkers but it makes me laugh.. the judges are too soft #BGT."
In contrast, some viewers were less impressed, with comments such as: "Well, I still feel sick! ! #BGT", and "Oh that's gross #BGT #BritainsGotTalent" surfacing online, while another was straightforward: "That was horrific #bgt."
Despite the mixed reactions, Bao Cuong's journey on Britain's Got Talent came to an end as he was eliminated from the competition, failing to secure a place in the much-awaited final later this month.
The decision left fans expressing their disappointment on social media, with remarks like: "Gutted Bao Cuong deserved better #BGT," and "Bao Cuong was robbed #BGT."
Meanwhile, Jasmine Rice clinched a spot in the final with Bruno's Golden Buzzer, and Ping Pong Pang captured the hearts of the public, winning the viewer vote to join the lineup for this year's grand finale.
