Gogglebox viewers slam Pete Sandiford for 'irritating' habit - 'I'm bored'

fans are slamming long-standing show star Pete Sandiford after pointing out his very "irritating" habit. Pete and his sister Sophie have become fan favourites amongst viewers of the . Series, known for their witty one-liners that have fans chuckling away every Friday night. But Friday's episode (April 22) told a different story after fans slammed the star for constantly talking about his wife, Paige Yeomans, who doesn't appear on the series.

Pete mentioned Paige, with whom he shares two children, on several occasions in the episode, and fans have had enough. "@Petesandiford wonderd how long it would be before u started banging on again about f****n paige this & paige that!!!" slammed one fan. "Little Pete mentioning Paige. Again. Every. F*****g. Week," a second agreed, as a third blasted: "Little Pete and his 'what Paige did this week' comment. Even sister is bored." More chimed in, adding: "Here we go again-the Pete & Sophie show with many mentions of Paige."

While Pete Sandiford may be one of Gogglebox's best-loved stars, he's kept much of his personal life away from the cameras - including his relationship with wife Paige.

While not much is known about Paige publicly, it has been reported that she works as an emergency services call handler and holds a degree in English and linguistics from Queen Mary University of London.

Pete first revealed the pair were engaged in 2021 during an episode of the Channel 4 hit show.

In a sweet on-screen moment that aired in February of that year, his sister Sophie asked: "Do you feel any different now that you've got engaged?"

Pete replied: "Yeah, I think... I feel like an even bigger responsibility. I don't know why. I'm going to have a wife."

The couple went on to tie the knot in May 2021 before welcoming their first child, a son named Jimmy, later that year.

To mark their six-month wedding anniversary, Pete shared a stunning photo from their big day showing the couple beaming at one another as they strolled hand-in-hand along a boardwalk, with the ocean shimmering in the background.

Their growing family expanded once again in June 2023, when Pete and Paige welcomed a daughter, Eva Sylvie. The newborn even made her Gogglebox debut not long after, delighting fans who had followed Pete's family journey from the sofa to fatherhood.

Pete later shared the joyful news on social media, writing: "Myself and @paigesandiford_ would like to welcome the newest addition to our family, Eva Sylvie Sandiford."

Pete and Sophie aren't the only famous faces in their family as they're related to Barry Elliott and Paul Elliott of The Chuckle Brothers.

Following Barry's death in 2018, Pete shared a throwback snap of himself with his 'uncle', writing: "We are lucky enough to call him Uncle Barry."
