Homebase announces new UK opening as it brings back 'exclusive' range

Homebase has announced a brand new UK opening inside one of The Range's superstores that isn't centred around gardeningOver the past year the DIY and garden retailer has opened more than 200 'Garden Centres by Homebase' inside The Range stores after collapsing into administration at the end of 2024.

Homebase blamed a decline in consumer confidence and spending post-pandemic for the collapse and was forced to call in administrators last November before later striking a deal with retail group CDS, which owns The Range, which saved some stores. CDS snapped up 70 Homebase branches as part of the deal, saving around 1,600 jobs, while rival DIY chain B&Q took control of five branches and a further four have been transformed into Wickes.

But as part of its ongoing openings inside The Range superstores, Homebase has now announced that shoppers can visit its new "exclusive" 'Bathstores by Homebase' showroom inside The Range in Milton Keynes. Here, customers can browse an array of bathrooms and book a free design appointment.

Confirming the news in a post on Facebook, Homebase said: "Bathstore is BACK and better than ever.

"From stylish taps to tiles, we've got everything you need to create your dream bathroom! And there's more... The Milton Keynes store is now home to our EXCLUSIVE 'Bathstores by Homebase' showroom! Yes, bathrooms are here! Don't miss your chance to tap into heading to our FIRST newest showroom."

The Bathstore range is also available to shop online so if you don't live close enough to visit the new showroom, you can still browse all of the products and schedule a virtual appointment with a Homebase bathroom expert where you'll get to create a 3D design to help visualise your new bathroom before you buy.

Homebase explains: "If you're searching for Bathstore essentials you've come to the right place. Bathstore was acquired by Homebase back in 2019, so you can still find your favourite products to kit out your new bathroom in style. Explore our collection of bathroom and plumbing solutions - you're sure to find everything you need to create your dream space.

"Whether planning small bathroom renovations or aspiring to build a luxurious space, we stock products from our beloved Bathstore as well as soon-to-be favourites.

The opening of the new Bathstore showroom comes after Homebase announced earlier this year it had officially opened more than 50 brand new garden centres in The Range stores across the UK and Ireland back in a single month.

Each location provides shoppers with a selection of premium plants and garden accessories to help transform outdoor spaces. The openings also come alongside the launch of 'Kitchens by Homebase' in selected stores.
