Comedian Joe Wilkinson has shared the crucial scene where he uncovered Cat Burns as a Traitor on The Celebrity Traitors, but says it never aired.
Joe was eliminated on the hit BBC reality show, just as he was starting to figure out who the real villains were. The Traitors, Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, and Cat Burns, struck again, removing him from the game before he could avoid yet another banishment.
Meanwhile, the Faithful wrongly turned on "Big Dog" Sir Stephen Fry, and the Faithfuls still haven't caught a single Traitor. After his exit, Joe revealed he had correctly guessed that both Jonathan and Cat were Traitors, although Alan completely fooled him. Speaking to Metro, the comedian admitted there was a key moment when he realised Cat couldn't be trusted, a scene viewers never saw.
"The only reason I chose Cat in the end was because someone said, 'Look at the person you think of least,'" Joe explained.
"You don't really see it in the show, but I was hanging out with Cat quite a lot, and I probably trusted her as much as I did Joe Marler. I couldn't mentally pick Joe as a Traitor. I just couldn't do it. So I thought, 'Who do I really trust?' Then I went, 'Cat! Why do I trust Cat?' It was basically because we'd been spending so much time together."
Despite his suspicions, Joe confessed he wouldn't have gone for Cat straight away. "I liked her too much," he admitted. "She's just so cool and lovely to be around. So no, I wouldn't have gone for her next."
However, Cat may now have backed herself into a difficult corner. Having loudly supported the "Big Dog" theory, she's left with little choice but to turn against her fellow Faithfuls and with one Big Dog already gone, the pressure is mounting on all three Traitors.
"I think Cat will go the furthest," Joe predicted. "Alan saying he forgot he had a shield, that's enough to sink him. When you're a Faithful and you've got one, it's all you think about. That could be his downfall. Jonathan's got more heat on him than Cat right now."
Joe also revealed he was completely convinced by Alan throughout filming and genuinely believed he was a Faithful as he "completely fooled" him and he never for one second imagined he could be a Traitor.
