As the weather turns colder, there's nothing quite like being coaxed out of bed by the promise of a hot mug of coffee. If you're looking to speed up your morning routine and move beyond the world of instant coffee, investing in a coffee machine can be a total game-changer.

Nespresso is one of the big names in the coffee game, but its machines aren't always the most budget-friendly-some of the fancier models can cost over £400!

The good news is that they've got more affordable options, too. Take the Nespresso Vertuo Pop, for example. It's a great entry-level machine, and right now, thanks to a deal on Amazon, it's even cheaper.

The Nespresso Vertuo Pop by Krups has been slashed from £99.99 to £59, saving shoppers 41%, reports the Mirror. This makes it cheaper than it is on Nespresso's website, where the same machine (though manufactured by Magimix) currently retails for £99. However, the Amazon discount only applies to the Coconut White shade. If you want a different colour, the full range is available at Nespresso (though, of course, you'll have to pay full price).

The gadget works with Nespresso Vertuo capsules and can make six coffee cup sizes, ranging from a 25ml ristretto, a 40ml espresso, an 80ml double espresso, a 150ml gran lungo, to a 230ml mug and a larger 355ml mug.

This machine claims to heat up in just 30 seconds and is controlled with just one button, making it a breeze to use. It also has an automatic pod ejection system that can hold up to eight pods and a detachable water tank for easy refills.

Shoppers have commended the quality of the coffee, with one person saying it brings the taste of a barista-made coffee home. They explained: "I love the machine for my own daily needs, but my favourite use by far is having friends round and being able to offer a barista-level menu of coffees to choose from...It takes my hosting skills to the next tier, and my friends have all commented on how great the coffee is."

Although it doesn't include a milk frother for making lattes, cappuccinos, or flat whites, Nespresso sells a range of milk frothers starting from £79, which could be a worthy investment for those who prefer milky coffees.

The machine comes with a complimentary welcome set of 12 capsules to get you started, but registering the machine online through Nespresso also gets you an additional 50 coffee pods with your first coffee order. Nespresso makes more than 30 types of pods, so there is plenty of choice.

However, one shopper pointed out: "I really love this coffee machine-it works beautifully. The only downside is that it only accepts official Nespresso capsules, so you can't use refillable or third-party options that would help cut down on waste."

As the machine has to scan a barcode to work, it only accepts Nespresso capsules, which may be an issue for people without access to a Nespresso shop. For the environmentally conscious, Nespresso does offer pod recycling, which can be done in-store or through the post.

The Vertuo Pop has many fans online, with one saying: "Love this machine! And the coffee pods. Would definitely recommend."

Another remarked: "Easy to use and a fantastic selection of great coffees."

One satisfied buyer noted in an extended review: "We just adore our Nespresso Vertuo, so much so we bought three to pass on to our friends as Christmas presents."
