Squid Game: The Challenge is set to make a triumphant return with its eagerly awaited second season, offering contestants the opportunity to win a staggering $4.56 million (£3.46 million).

The gripping Netflix reality series became an instant hit when its first season aired in 2023, following the success of the original South Korean thriller.

Earlier this year, a second season was announced, promising to subject 456 new players to a series of gruelling tasks for a chance at the grand prize.

Netflix has already teased some unexpected twists for the upcoming season, including some recognisable faces among the contestants.

With just a few days left until the series returns, let's delve into all the confirmed details about season two so far, reports the Mirror.

The preview shows the pressure has intensified dramatically, with one participant tearfully confessing "It's over for us" whilst tackling a card-stacking task.

Several competitors are also employing rather underhanded strategies this series, as one chap admits he's fabricating having an expected child. "This baby doesn't exist," he boasts during a private interview.

The trailer alongside exclusive first-look photographs have also showcased some recognisable trials, including the colourful track from Squid Game series two's pulse-pounding pentathlon.
