Prince Andrew has received a "reminder" from King Charles that his future in the Royal Family remains unchanged by current "events", an expert has claimed. The Duke of York has reportedly been feeling "chipper", according to the Daily Mail, following the White House's recent announcement that the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein didn't keep a list of clients.
Epstein, a convicted sex offender, died in his prison cell in New York in 2019 while he was awaiting a trial for charges of sex trafficking, for which he pleaded not guilty.
In 2024, a New York court was set to release a list of people allegedly connected to the financier, but earlier this month, the US Department of Justice and FBI arrived at the conclusion that Epstein didn't have such a list.
The US agencies also confirmed that Epstein took his own life, refuting conspiracy theories to the contrary. Meanwhile, Andrew, who was reportedly friends with Epstein, faces fresh "anxiety".
According to a "mole" reporting to the Mail's Ephraim Hardcastle, Andrew had been "feeling chipper" after the news and that the FBI had ended its investigations, but US President Donald Trump may have added a new complication.

He writes: "As the king returns to Scotland for his summer break, my mole reports Prince Andrew is still on the guest list for a Balmoral holiday.
"But, with Trump's second thoughts about releasing documents, Andrew's anxiety continues. It hasn't helped that he has received a reminder from the King that events don't allow him to return to royal duty. Is there no redemption for the disgraced duke?"
In August 2024, reports emerged that Andrew had become a "little bit reclusive" during the highly publicised disupte that was occuring between himself and the King over the tenancy of Royal Lodge.
Yet, it's not the only scandal facing the beleaguered Duke, who stepped away from royal duties in 2019 following his now-notorious BBC Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis.
Queen Elizabeth II stripped Andrew of his military titles and royal patronages in 2022; he ceased using HRH (His Royal Highness), and his roles, such as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, were given to other family members.
In 2024, Andrew again made headlines over an investigation involving an alleged Chinese spy referred to as 'H6', who was said to have cultivated an "unusual degree of trust" with him, UK officials alleged.
H6 was Yang Tengbo, a 50-year-old businessman who requested that his anonymity be dismissed and claimed that the accusations of espionage were "entirely untrue". Andrew said that he had "ceased all contact" with Mr Yang, with his office claiming there was "nothing of a sensitive nature ever discussed".
Meanwhile, a former Hong Kong governor, Chris Patten, who served in the role as the final governor between 1992 and 1997 prior to it being handed over to China, suggested that Andrew may have been a "victim" of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) operatives.
Speaking to the Mail, he said: "He is a hapless victim of United Front (Chinese Communist Party operatives) activity in this country." He went on to add: "I don't think Andrew has large numbers of state secrets."
