The year 2025 began on a very horrifying note for Saif Ali Khan and his family. It is hard to forget the morning hours of January 16, 2025, when Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times while saving his family from a home invasion. The incident took place at this Bandra house, and the assailant has been identified as a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad.
It has been months now, but the memory of the attack is so fresh in everyone’s memory. Recently, when we sat down with Saif Ali Khan for a candid chat and asked him about the traumatic experience, the actor said, “My takeaway is that you must lock doors and be careful. We have a lot, and a lot do not. So while I am grateful, we must understand that and be careful. Lock things. Block access points. And smarten up security.”
He continued, “It’s sad. I never believed in security. Hate to have people around me, but it needs to be there, for a while at least, I guess.”
Further, while counting his blessings, Saif shared, “It wasn’t my time to go. Maybe I’m meant to do a few more good films… have some more nice times with family and friends. Do some more charity!”
“Just make sure you’re damn good. Work hard and hopefully the world will appreciate it,” concluded the actor.
Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming work
Since Saif mentioned that perhaps it is in his fate to work more, we discussed his upcoming movies and series. Talking about one of his upcoming works, the actor shared, “I’m doing a patriotic period piece, about a driven and passionate man who organises India’s first general election. It’s got a lovely feel in time and place, and it’s quite dramatic and emotionally uplifting. Rahul Dholakia and I talked a lot, and so much of what we spoke about is in the script!”
“It’s quite amazing,” said Saif, who will soon be seen in ‘Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins.’
