Six Terrorists' Houses Demolished in Jammu and Kashmir; Over 500 Bangladeshi Migrants Detained in Gujarat

Security forces intensified operations in Jammu and Kashmir after the Pahalgam terror attack, while large-scale action against illegal immigrants unfolded in Gujarat’s Surat and Ahmedabad.

Major Crackdown in Jammu and Kashmir

Following the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir demolished the houses of six identified terrorists. Those targeted include Asif Sheikh, Adil Thokar, Haris Ahmed from Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Ahsan-ul-Haq, Zakir Ahmed Ganai, Shahid Ahmed Kute associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Security operations were conducted across Tral, Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam, and Shopian regions. Among them, Ahsan-ul-Haq had received training in Pakistan in 2018, while Asif Sheikh and Adil Thokar were directly linked to the Pahalgam incident.

Separately, intermittent firing was reported along the Line of Control (LoC) early Saturday, following similar incidents on Friday. The Indian Army responded strongly, with no casualties reported on either side.

Gujarat Police Detain Over 500 Bangladeshi Infiltrators

In a simultaneous operation, Gujarat police detained over 500 Bangladeshi nationals during early morning raids in Surat and Ahmedabad. This action follows Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent directive urging states to identify and deport illegal immigrants promptly.

The crackdown highlights the government’s renewed focus on national security and border integrity, amid rising concerns over illegal infiltration.

Bilawal Bhutto’s Provocative Remarks Against India

Meanwhile, tensions escalated diplomatically after former Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari delivered a provocative speech against India. Addressing a public gathering, Bhutto declared,
“Either the waters of the Indus River will flow, or their blood will flow. The Indus belongs to us and will remain ours.”

Bhutto criticized India’s approach towards the Indus Waters Treaty, warning against any unilateral actions and emphasizing Pakistan’s historical claim over the river. His remarks further strained already fragile India-Pakistan relations.

With heightened military activities along the LoC, intensified anti-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir, and firm actions against illegal immigrants in Gujarat, India’s internal and external security dynamics remain under close watch.
